How do I receive help?

All forms of assistance require identification.

To receive assistance with food, come to Catholic Charities in person during regular hours and bring an ID for everyone in the household.

Copies of prescriptions may be required if approved for medication assistance. No assistance will be given with narcotics or mood-altering medications.

All services are provided without regard to race, religion, nationality, or gender.

Trav's Coats for Kids

Trav's Coats for Kids provides coats to those of any age during the months of November, December and January. Anyone wishing to receive a coat may come to our Emergency Assistance office during business hours to receive a voucher.

Coats are available based on donations from the community. If you have coats to donate, you may drop them off at Catholic Charities or at any Yale Cleaners from November 1st through December 31st. Yale Cleaners will clean the coats and deliver them to Catholic Charities for distribution. Thousands of coats are donated every year and we appreciate Yale Cleaners, News on 6, and everyone who donates to this vital program.

St. Nicholas Toy Program

Catholic Charities St. Nicholas Toy Program provides Christmas toys to 300 families each year. The toy program is available to clients of Catholic Charities who are chosen throughout the year and participation in the program is limited to once every 3 years. If you receive an invitation to participate in the toy program, you will receive information from your case worker about completing your wish list and picking up your toys.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Baskets

Catholic Charities provides more than 1,000 food baskets to families at Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is made possible by the generous donations of turkeys, hams and other holiday foods we receive from local parishes, businesses and organizations.

Thanksgiving and food basket tickets are handed out at unspecified times through our Emergency Assistance office at the discretion of our case workers.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are always in need of help in our food pantry and warehouse. The majority of our clients come through Emergency Assistance first, which makes the food pantry the busiest area on campus.

If you would like to volunteer as an individual or if you'd like to bring a group to volunteer, contact Volunteer Engagement at (918) 508-7125 or volunteer@cceok.org
