Jason & Caroline’s Letter

Dear Birth parent(s):

We are so grateful that you are taking the time to read our letter. We believe you are making a courageous and selfless decision. We can’t imagine what your journey has been like that has brought you here but we pray for you, think of you, and talk fondly of you every single day. It is truly an honor that you would consider us for the adoption of your child and we would be humbled at the opportunity to meet you. Everyone deserves to have supporters “in their corner” and we would love to be here to encourage and lift you up in prayer through this process.

My husband, Jason, and I have been married for 9 ½ years. Our families have known each other most of our lives; we grew up in the same church since about second grade. However, we didn’t really get to know each other until we went on a mission trip in 2004. We started dating shortly after and a year later we were engaged. The greatest strength of our marriage is that Jesus Christ is the foundation. We have a common faith and that has given us the hope and strength to face life’s challenges together. We are each’s other best friends and biggest supporters and we always have fun when we’re together. Jason works as an Occupational Therapist full time and Caroline is a part-time nicu nurse (one day per week) and full-time mom.

One of our most exciting days was when our daughter Gentry was born in 2012. She is a sweet and joyful little girl. She is full of energy and loves to play with friends and cousins any chance she gets. Gentry absolutely cannot wait to be a big sister. She talks about her future sibling all the time and all the plans she has for them. While gentry doesn’t have a great understanding of adoption at the age of three, she does understand that she will have baby in the home to love and take care of. She often talks about and asks questions about the baby and their birthmom. Adoption is something Jason & I have talked about since before we were even married. We both feel like we have been so blessed in this life to have so much support and love from family and friends. That feeling really hit home when Gentry was born and so many people were praying for, loving on, and supporting our sweet girl before she was even born! We really feel like everyone deserves that kind of support and we want to open our home for another child to experience that as well.

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn a little about our family. As we said before, we truly admire you as you make this life giving decision. We will continue to pray for you and hope to meet you soon!

Sincerely,
Jason, Caroline, and Gentry
