Josh & Bethany’s Letter

Dear Expectant Parents,

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us and for considering us as you make this difficult
decision about who will parent your child. We hope that through this process, you are able to get a
glimpse of the love we have for each other, our families, and our future child. We are so excited to
become parents and welcome a child into our home and family.

We have been married for more than seven years and love doing life together. Josh is an English teacher
and basketball coach at the local high school, and Bethany works to help others at a credit union in our
community. We live in a comfortable neighborhood in a small town and love the sense of community we
have here. Our church and community have been so supportive of us throughout this process and are so
excited to help us welcome home a baby. We both also come from very strong families who can’t wait
to share in our joy and help us raise the child God has chosen for us.

For us, adoption has always been a consideration. We both come from families who have adopted a
child. In our seven plus years of marriage, we have talked a lot about adoption. After trying
unsuccessfully to get pregnant for years and having some positive experiences as foster parents, we
decided to begin the adoption process. We know that God has called us to adopt, and we can’t wait to
meet the child He has chosen for us.

We want you to know how much we already sincerely respect and appreciate you. We struggle to find
the words and emotions to truly let you know how much love we have for you in this situation. We pray
daily for you to have the strength and courage necessary as you continue along your journey through
this process. We know that you want what is best for your child, and we pray that you find us to be all
that you hope and dream for your child.
