Ryan & Megan’s Letter

Dear Birthparent,

What a courageous and self-less decision you are making.  We admire your courage and bravery.  We are honored that you are taking the time to get to know us and are considering us as the family for your son or daughter. We hope as you get to know us, you will see the love we have for each other, our family and friends, and your child.  We are so excited to welcome a new baby into our family.

We are Ryan and Megan.  We met on a dating website in 2009 and married in 2012.  We both have a unique sense of humor and that is definitely one of the things that attracted us to each other.  Laughter fills our home daily!

Ryan is in the financial field.  Because of his career path, he has brought a lot of financial stability into our family.  We feel it’s very important to save for our future.  Megan was an elementary school teacher for 15 years.  She currently stays home with our 3 ½ year old daughter Emily.  Because she is a stay at home mom, she and Emily get to do a lot of activities together like soccer, gymnastics, ballet, and swim.  Emily is a fun, outgoing, smart toddler.  She loves meeting new people wherever we go.  She is going to be a great big sister.

When we first started dating we talked a lot about family and children.  We knew we wanted 2 or 3 kids.  Shortly after getting married, we conceived Emily.  When we were ready to try for a second we found out that we would be unable to conceive naturally and our only option would be to use an egg donor.  Pregnancy and delivery with Emily were very difficult and we decided that was not a route that we take.  We felt God’s call to adoption and we are so excited to hold and love the baby He has planned for us.

We love spending time outdoors.  In the summer you will find us most weekends at the lake on the boat, swimming, or riding the jet ski.  Emily often tells us “I NEED to go to the lake”.  We all find it a nice place to relax and reboot.  We recently added a puppy to our lives and we really enjoying taking her on walks or throwing the ball and chasing her around the backyard.

We look forward to the chance to meet you.  We are here to love and support you in the ways that you deserve.  We know this journey you are on is not an easy one and we pray you find comfort and peace in the decision you are making.

Ryan, Megan, and Emily
