Group Volunteering

Are you part of a group that would like to serve others? Would you like to join a group that serves others? Are you looking for ideas as to how your group or organization can have an impact on the lives of others?

Volunteering at Catholic Charities is both an individual and a community endeavor. Many of our facilities and departments can use multiple volunteers in any one given day.

We have volunteers who serve the same hours/time each week, month after month, and offer real consistency to the organization. We have groups that help on scheduled weekdays or weekends. We have individuals and groups who offer support and service for specific events like Cooking Up Compassion, Walk For Adoption, and Autumn Harvest Arts and Crafts Fair to name a few.

General Projects:

Clothing Center/Food Pantry/Donation Center Days – sorting, folding, hanging and distributing clothing and essential household items to those in need.  Available on weekdays from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, Tuesday evenings from 4:30 to 7:30 pm, and on the third Saturday of each month from 9:00 am to noon.

General work projects – landscape/gardening, cleanup, maintenance of facilities

Workdays at Catholic Charities – for smaller groups to give direct assistance to clients

Food and personal item drives – these can be arranged at any time within a firm/school/organization – gather, sort and prepare for distribution
